    Avoid!
Extremely run down. Room smelt like mould and just felt unclean. The table was laminate and warped over the top so it wasn't even a flat surface that could be used. The toilet/bathroom door was a sliding door that only closed half way, so we couldn't really use the toilet, as it opens into the living space and there was no privacy when you wanted to do a number 2!!. Front doors don't lock properly either and had to be locked first and slammed shut. Disappointed.
Not too much. We forfeited our second night and left because the conditions were so attrocious. Since there were no other places to stay on the Island (we arrived after dark), we stayed only one night and returned back to Adelaide because we just couldn't stay there another night. It really was that bad. I feel ripped off.

    Quite good. Excellent value.
Lack of individual toiletries. Soap was wall mounted.
Location very good. Rooms appeared to be spotlessly clean.

Clean budget motel in central location
Very old facility with hard bed and the bedspreads looked like they were 20 years old.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location central to the island highlights and walking distance to the waterfront, hotels and cafes.

    Lovely historic grounds and location.
Bring your own shampoo and soap. I didn't like the wall mounted all in one dispenser of soap that was offered.
Beautiful grounds. Walking distance to the beach, town centre and the pelican feelings. Rooms are large and comfortable. The continental breakfast was such a bonus. Staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea also provided in each room.

    Great location
Motel looks a bit tired - lovely staff, good facilities (although pool seemed to be booked lots) would like greater options at breakfast - e.g pod coffee machine .
Enjoyed the location and the facilities

Just right for this part of Kangaroo Island
Because the motel is run by just two individuals, the owners (who do live on site) are not always at the front desk.
Just two blocks from the center of the small town and a variety of restaurants, shops, grocery store, gas station, etc. Close to waterfront and its strange but popular every-afternoon show of a local man feeding the pelicans and talking about them. Quiet mid-sized room, adequate bathroom, small fridge and electric kettle for tea or instant coffee, TV with good reception. Good Wi-Fi connection in room. Comfortable bed. Continental breakfast in the dining room - cereals, breads, coffee/tea and juices. On-site parking. The owner and his wife are very friendly and incredibly helpful with island information -- what to see, what to do, maps, etc. (I didn't use the pool or barbecue, so no comments here.)
